OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
John Russ, Mercer
RS-Freshman | Quarterback | Buford, Ga. Russ was responsible for five touchdowns and engineered Mercer’s come-from-behind 45-42 PFL victory against Jacksonville, Saturday. He compiled 362 total offensive yards, rushing for 145 and passing for 217. Russ finished the day 11-of-23 passing with no interceptions and three touchdowns, including a touchdown throws of 18 and 33 yards in the fourth quarter, his final touchdown pass giving Mercer its first lead of the game since his touchdown run in the first quarter. On the ground, he ran for his 145 yards on 17 carries, including a pair of touchdown runs.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Pat Dowd, Dayton
Senior | Defensive End | Cleveland, Ohio Dowd tied a nine-year old FCS record with six quarterback sacks in Dayton’s 36-10 loss at Drake, Saturday. His effort equaled the FCS mark set by Southeastern Louisiana’s Damien Huren in 2004. Dowd finished the day with a game-best nine tackles, including eight solo stops. Each of his six sacks were solo efforts and he had another tackle for no gain in the contest.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jon Treloar, Butler & Garrett Diehl, Davidson
Jon Treloar, Butler Sophomore | Placekicker | Loveland, Ohio Treloar connected on nine PATs and a field goal in Butler’s 72-10 PFL victory against Valparaiso, Saturday. His 12-point effort broke a Butler record that stood for 39 years and was the best by a kick in PFL play since the conference opener in Week 3. Treloar’s 34-yard field goal kept him perfect on field goal tries this season.
Garrett Diehl, Davidson Junior | Kick Returner | Warrenton, Va. Diehl recorded Davidson’s first kickoff return for a touchdown in five seasons in a 26-13 PFL loss at Stetson, Saturday. His 92-yard kickoff return in the third quarter moved Davidson within three points, 16-13. Diehl finished the game with three kickoff returns totalling 120 yards.
